OurStainless Steel Stakesare made of approximately 18% chromium and 8% nickel. T304 stainless is the most corrosive resistant in the stainless steel metal group because it contains a minimum of 10.5% chromium which makes it resist rust or stains better than other types of steel. The chromium in the steel combines with oxygen to form a thin, invisible layer of a chrome oxide called the passive film, which is only a few atoms thick. If the metal is cut or scratched and the passive film is disrupted, more oxide will quickly form and protect the metal from oxidative corrosion. This prevents rust and corrosion from acidic soil, salt, moisture, and fertilizers.
OurPlastic Nameplatesare specially formulated to allow the best adherence of various UV resistant ink pens, paint pens and adhesive labels. They also have UV stabilizers in them to significantly reduce the chance of the color fading. The plastic is resistant to aqueous acids, alkalis, concentrated hydrochloric and phosphoric acids, alcohols and animal, vegetable and mineral oils. It is impact resistant, tough, and can even hold up in the extreme heat or cold.
